Peugeot battery replacement in Dubai, 24/7

We replace Peugeot batteries across Dubai 24/7, at home, in a car park or at the roadside, and we test before we sell. If a jump start is all the car needs, that is what you get. Recent Peugeots with Stop and Start leave the factory with an EFB or AGM battery, and the handbook requires the same technology at replacement.

Peugeot battery sizes by model

Typical Gulf-spec fitment for the Peugeot models we see most. Engine and model year can change it, so we match the label on your current battery before dispatch.

ModelBattery typeTypical sizeNote
3008EFBDIN 70 EFB (L3, 70 Ah)Applies to the second-generation 3008 with Stop and Start. The first-generation car without it takes a standard DIN battery, so we confirm by year.
5008EFBDIN 70 EFB (L3, 70 Ah)For the second-generation 5008 SUV with Stop and Start. The earlier MPV-shaped 5008 differs by engine, and we check the label before dispatch.

Sizes are a guide, not a guarantee. Send a photo of the battery label for an exact match.

Battery registration on Peugeot

  • Stop and Start Peugeots carry a battery charge sensor on the negative terminal. On most models it needs no coding but must relearn with the car left locked for several hours. If your model needs a diagnostic reset, we advise first.

What is different about Peugeot batteries

  • Economy mode is a clue

Peugeots switch to economy mode when the battery runs low with the engine off: the radio and other comfort functions shut down and a message appears. If this happens after only a few minutes, the battery has lost capacity and should be tested.

  • EFB on current SUVs

The second-generation 3008 and 5008 with Stop and Start are factory-fitted with a 70 Ah EFB in the L3 case. AGM is an acceptable upgrade. A standard flooded battery is not, because it wears out quickly under repeated restarts.

  • Stop and Start returns later

After a battery change, Stop and Start may stay unavailable on the first drives. The battery sensor needs the car to rest, locked and undisturbed, for several hours to measure the new battery. This is described in the handbook and is not a fault.

  • Reconnection routine

Peugeot handbooks ask you to wait about a minute after reconnecting the battery before starting the engine, so the control units can initialise. One-touch windows, the clock and some settings may need resetting. Our technician runs through these before leaving.

Jump start, test or replace your Peugeot

A car that will not start does not always need a new battery. The technician tests first, then does the smallest job that gets you moving.

Battery replacement

When it fits: The battery fails the test, will not hold charge, or is swollen or leaking.

  • New battery matched to your car, delivered and fitted where you are parked
  • Charging system checked once the engine is running
  • Old battery taken away for recycling, warranty up to 24 months
How it works

Car Battery Jump Start

When it fits: Lights were left on or the car sat for days, and the battery is otherwise healthy.

  • A technician sent to your location in Dubai at any hour, with the arrival estimate confirmed before dispatch
  • A professional booster with surge protection instead of cables run from another car
  • Connection at the points your car maker specifies, including dedicated jump posts under the bonnet
How it works

Car Battery Testing

When it fits: Slow cranking, a warning light, or a battery that keeps going flat.

  • Resting voltage reading: about 12.6 to 12.8 V is healthy, and below 12.4 V the battery needs a recharge
  • Conductance or load test: the battery should hold 9.6 V or more under load
  • Charging voltage with the engine running, normally about 13.8 to 14.4 V

Peugeot in the UAE: what wears the battery

Peugeot has a long history in the UAE, from older 206 and 207 hatchbacks to current 2008, 3008 and 5008 SUVs, plus Partner and Expert vans in business fleets. Turbo engines run hot under a tightly packed bonnet. In summer that under-bonnet heat, more than mileage, decides how long the battery lasts.

Electric and hybrid Peugeots still use a 12V battery to power up the car and its electronics, separate from the traction battery. If the car will not switch on, the 12V unit is the first suspect. We test it and confirm the correct type by model before dispatch.

How a Peugeot battery replacement works

You know the battery, the arrival estimate and what is included before a technician leaves for your car.

  1. Send your location

Call or WhatsApp your location pin, the car make, model and year, and where it is parked.

  2. We confirm before dispatch

You hear which battery fits, whether registration is part of the job and the estimated arrival time.

  3. Tested at the car

The technician checks the battery and the charging system and tells you what the readings mean.

  4. Started or replaced

A jump start if that is enough. If not, the new battery goes in, the old one leaves with us and you pay by cash, card, Tabby or Tamara.

Peugeot battery questions

All questions and answers
What battery does a Peugeot 3008 take?

Second-generation 3008 models with Stop and Start use a DIN 70 EFB, the L3 case at 70 Ah, and can be upgraded to AGM in the same size. The first-generation car without Stop and Start takes a standard DIN battery. We confirm by year and engine before dispatch.

Stop and Start has not worked since the battery was changed. Was the wrong battery fitted?

Not necessarily. The system often stays off until the battery sensor has relearned, which needs the car parked and locked for several hours, sometimes overnight. If it is still unavailable after a few days of normal driving, the battery type or its state of charge should be checked, and we can test both.

My Peugeot shows "Economy mode active". What does it mean?

The car is protecting the battery. With the engine off, comfort functions are cut once the battery charge falls to a set level, so enough remains to start. Seeing it occasionally after long use with the engine off is normal. Seeing it quickly, or every day, points to an ageing battery.

Can you change the battery on a Peugeot Partner or Expert van at our warehouse?

Yes. Send the van model, year, engine and location. Capacity depends on the engine, and Stop and Start versions need EFB or AGM. The technician tests first, fits at the loading bay or parking area and removes the old battery for recycling. Delivery and fitting are free with the battery.
