Hyundai battery replacement in Dubai, 24/7

We replace Hyundai batteries at the car anywhere in Dubai, 24/7. A technician tests the battery and charging system first, jump-starts the car if that is all it needs, or fits a new battery on the spot. Hyundai has used two size families over the years, JIS cases on older models and DIN cases on newer ones, so we confirm yours by model and year before dispatch.

Hyundai battery sizes by model

Typical Gulf-spec fitment for the Hyundai models we see most. Engine and model year can change it, so we match the label on your current battery before dispatch.

ModelBattery typeTypical sizeNote
ElantraMaintenance-free55D23L (60 Ah)Earlier generations. Later Elantra models moved to a DIN-case battery, so we confirm from the year or the label on the fitted battery.
SonataMaintenance-free80D26L (70 Ah)Typical for 2.0 and 2.4 petrol saloons. The newest generation and the hybrid differ and are confirmed by year.
TucsonMaintenance-free80D26L (70 Ah)Applies to models up to about 2015. From 2016 the Tucson uses a DIN case, with AGM on ISG versions.
Santa FeMaintenance-free80D26L (70 Ah)Older 2.4 and V6 models. Recent generations take a DIN-case battery, AGM where ISG is fitted.

Sizes are a guide, not a guarantee. Send a photo of the battery label for an exact match.

What is different about Hyundai batteries

  • Korean factory batteries

Hyundai fits Korean-made batteries at the factory, sold through dealers under the Hyundai Mobis name, and Solite is one of the Korean makers behind original-fit units. A like-for-like Korean replacement matches the original case, terminals and hold-down without modification.

  • JIS on older, DIN on newer

Older Hyundai models such as earlier Elantra, Sonata and Santa Fe take JIS cases like 55D23L and 80D26L. Many models built from around 2016 moved to DIN cases such as DIN 60 and DIN 70. The two do not interchange, so the year matters.

  • ISG needs AGM and calibration

Hyundai models with Idle Stop and Go leave the factory with an AGM battery and a sensor on the negative terminal. After a replacement, ISG stays off until the sensor calibrates: about four hours parked with the engine off, then a few restarts.

  • Dashcams and trackers drain it

Hard-wired dashcams, trackers and aftermarket screens keep drawing current after the car is locked. On a small Accent or Venue battery, a few days parked at the airport can be enough to leave it flat. We check for this drain during the test.

Jump start, test or replace your Hyundai

A car that will not start does not always need a new battery. The technician tests first, then does the smallest job that gets you moving.

Battery replacement

When it fits: The battery fails the test, will not hold charge, or is swollen or leaking.

  • New battery matched to your car, delivered and fitted where you are parked
  • Charging system checked once the engine is running
  • Old battery taken away for recycling, warranty up to 24 months
How it works

Car Battery Jump Start

When it fits: Lights were left on or the car sat for days, and the battery is otherwise healthy.

  • A technician sent to your location in Dubai at any hour, with the arrival estimate confirmed before dispatch
  • A professional booster with surge protection instead of cables run from another car
  • Connection at the points your car maker specifies, including dedicated jump posts under the bonnet
How it works

Car Battery Testing

When it fits: Slow cranking, a warning light, or a battery that keeps going flat.

  • Resting voltage reading: about 12.6 to 12.8 V is healthy, and below 12.4 V the battery needs a recharge
  • Conductance or load test: the battery should hold 9.6 V or more under load
  • Charging voltage with the engine running, normally about 13.8 to 14.4 V

Hyundai in the UAE: what wears the battery

Accent, Elantra and Creta are everyday rental, company and commuter cars in the UAE. They do short city runs with the air conditioning on full and long waits with the engine idling. That pattern takes more out of the battery than the alternator puts back, and summer heat under the bonnet shortens its life further.

Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6 and Kona Electric rely on a 12V battery to wake the car. If it goes flat the car will not switch to Ready, even with a full traction battery. We test and replace it. Hybrid layouts vary, so we check first.

How a Hyundai battery replacement works

You know the battery, the arrival estimate and what is included before a technician leaves for your car.

  1. Send your location

Call or WhatsApp your location pin, the car make, model and year, and where it is parked.

  2. We confirm before dispatch

You hear which battery fits, whether registration is part of the job and the estimated arrival time.

  3. Tested at the car

The technician checks the battery and the charging system and tells you what the readings mean.

  4. Started or replaced

A jump start if that is enough. If not, the new battery goes in, the old one leaves with us and you pay by cash, card, Tabby or Tamara.

Hyundai battery questions

All questions and answers
Which battery does a Hyundai Elantra or Accent take?

It depends on the year. Earlier Elantra models take a 55D23L, while later generations use a DIN-case battery, and Accent sizes also changed between generations. Send us the model and year on WhatsApp, or a photo of the label on the old battery, and we bring the matching size.

Will my Hyundai lose its settings when the battery is changed?

Most Hyundai models keep their main settings. You may need to reset the clock, radio presets and the one-touch window function, and the idle can feel slightly different for the first few kilometres while the engine computer relearns. Where practical the technician keeps the car powered during the swap.

Why did ISG stop working on my Tucson after a battery change?

That is normal straight after a replacement. The battery sensor has to calibrate before Idle Stop and Go returns: leave the car parked with the engine off for about four hours, then start and stop it a few times. If ISG still stays off, the battery type or charge level needs checking.

Can you replace the battery on a Hyundai H-1 or Staria used for staff transport?

Yes. Vans and people carriers are done at your yard, staff accommodation or the roadside, day or night. These vehicles idle for long periods with front and rear air conditioning running, so we test the alternator output as well as the battery before recommending a replacement.
