Varta batteries in Gulf heat
Heat is harder on a battery than cold, and no Varta is immune to a Dubai summer. AGM copes better than flooded because the electrolyte is held in glass mat and the plates are under compression. Varta started in Hagen, Germany, in 1887 and has built lead-acid batteries ever since. The automotive side was sold to Johnson Controls in 2002, and that business became Clarios in 2019. Worth knowing before you choose Varta
Varta costs more than entry-level brands, and the gap is widest on AGM sizes.
The range is strongest in DIN sizes. Some JIS sizes for Japanese and Korean cars are harder to find in Varta, so we may suggest another brand for those.
A Varta AGM still needs registering on BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and similar cars. Fitted without that step, it will not reach its normal life.

Can a standard Varta Blue Dynamic replace my Varta AGM?
