Lincoln models from roughly 2011 use a sensor on the negative terminal to track battery age. If the monitor is not reset after replacement, the car keeps charging as though the old battery were still fitted.
Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus and Corsair versions with Auto Start-Stop leave the factory with an AGM battery. A flooded battery in its place will not cope with repeated restarts, so we fit AGM only.
