What to know about Lincoln batteries
AGM on Auto Start-Stop models
Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus and Corsair versions with Auto Start-Stop leave the factory with an AGM battery. A flooded battery in its place will not cope with repeated restarts, so we fit AGM only.
Battery monitor reset after fitting
Lincoln models from roughly 2011 use a sensor on the negative terminal to track battery age. If the monitor is not reset after replacement, the car keeps charging as though the old battery were still fitted.
Does the Blackwood need battery registration?
Most Lincoln models built after about 2011 need the battery monitoring system reset with a scan tool after replacement. Older Town Car and LS models do not. We check your year before dispatch.
