Lucid in the UAE: what wears the battery
Lucid opened its Dubai studio at City Walk in 2024, and the Air remains a rare sight. When one stands unplugged for a few weeks, in a villa garage or an airport car park, the 12 V system is the first thing to suffer.
The Air is electric only. We never touch the high-voltage pack. Our role is to diagnose the 12 V side, get the car awake where the procedure allows and tell you honestly if it needs Lucid.

Can you replace the 12 V battery on a Lucid Air at my home?
In most cases that job belongs to the Lucid service centre because of battery location. What we can do at your home is test the 12 V system, support it so the car powers up and confirm whether replacement is needed.
My Lucid Air is fully charged but dead. Why?
The big pack cannot connect unless the 12 V system is alive to close its contactors and run the computers. A flat 12 V battery therefore strands a fully charged car. Testing the low-voltage side is the first step.
How do I avoid 12 V trouble if I travel in summer?
Leave the Air plugged in, parked in shade or a basement if possible, and check on it only occasionally through the app, since each wake-up uses 12 V power. If it has stood for months, ask for a 12 V test when you return.
