The Q30 and QX30 were developed with Mercedes-Benz and take a European DIN-size battery, with AGM on cars that have stop-start. A Japanese JIS battery does not fit their tray, so we treat these two models like a European car.

Which battery does a Infiniti Q30 take?
A Infiniti Q30 typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range NS40 – NS60 (35–45 Ah). Most Q30 cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a Q30 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the Q30 need battery registration?
No. The Q30 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a Q30 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Several warning lights came on when my Infiniti started slowly. Is it serious?
Often it is only low voltage. When the battery sags during cranking, control units for steering, stability and transmission can log a fault and light up together. If they clear after a jump start or a new battery, nothing else is wrong. Lights that stay on need a diagnostic scan.
