Battery under the cowl cover
On the G, Q50, Q70 and FX or QX70, the battery sits at the rear corner of the engine bay beneath a plastic cover. The cover and its clips come off first. It is a normal design, not a fault, but it adds a few steps to the swap.

Which battery does a Infiniti G take?
The Infiniti G usually takes a maintenance-free flooded battery, most often 75D23L (65 Ah). This is the fitment most G cars in the Gulf leave the factory with. Engine and model year can change it, so we match it to the label on your current battery before dispatch.
Can you replace a G battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the G need battery registration?
No. The G does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a G battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Does an Infiniti battery need coding after replacement?
Most Infiniti models do not need the new battery registered with a scan tool. Cars with stop-start must get the same battery type they were built with, AGM or EFB, and the Mercedes-based Q30 and QX30 are checked individually. Clock and window settings may need resetting afterwards.
