How it works, step by step

  1. Tell us what you notice

Message your car details and the symptom: pulling, an off-centre wheel, edge wear or a recent kerb strike. Photos of the tyre wear help the workshop know what to expect.

  2. Book the rig

We arrange a slot at a partner workshop near you. Drive in at the agreed time, or ask us to collect the car if your day does not allow it.

  3. Measure, then adjust

Sensors or targets are fitted to the wheels and the current angles are recorded. The technician adjusts what the car allows, starting at the rear axle, then the front.

  4. Printout and road test

You receive the before and after readings and the car is driven to confirm it tracks straight. If a worn part stops the angles holding, you are told which one.

What wheel alignment covers

  • Tyre pressures and tread wear checked first

  • Toe, camber and caster measured on all wheels

  • Adjustable angles set to the maker's specification

  • Steering wheel centred with the wheels straight

  • Before and after readings printed for you

  • Worn steering or suspension parts reported to you

What Gulf conditions change

  • Dubai roads are smooth, but alignment still drifts here. Speed humps taken quickly, kerbs in tight parking and weekend tracks through sand and gravel all nudge the angles. Hot summer asphalt speeds up tyre wear, so a small toe error scrubs the tread off sooner than in a cooler country. A check with each new set of tyres is sensible.

Signs you need wheel alignment

  • The car drifts left or right on a flat, straight road when you relax your grip.

  • The steering wheel sits off-centre while the car is travelling straight.

  • One edge of a tyre, inner or outer, is wearing much faster than the rest.

  • You recently hit a kerb or deep pothole, or had new tyres or suspension parts fitted.

Wheel Alignment: questions

All questions and answers
What is the difference between wheel alignment and wheel balancing?

Alignment sets the angles at which the wheels point and lean. Balancing adds small weights to a wheel so it spins without vibration. A car that pulls or wears tyre edges needs alignment. A steering wheel that shakes at a certain speed usually needs balancing. They are separate jobs, often done together.

Will alignment fix a car that pulls to one side?

Often, but not every time. Pulling can also come from uneven tyre pressures, a tyre with internal damage, a sticking brake caliper or a worn suspension bush. The workshop checks those first. If a worn part is the cause, alignment alone will not hold and that part needs attention.

Can every angle be adjusted on my car?

No. Front toe is adjustable on practically every car. Camber and caster are fixed on many models unless something is bent or worn, and rear adjustment depends on the suspension design. The printout shows which angles are in range and which cannot be corrected without replacing a part.

What does the cost of wheel alignment depend on?

The cost depends on whether two or four wheels are aligned, the type of car, and whether seized adjusters need freeing. Some newer cars also need the steering angle sensor reset afterwards, which adds time. The workshop confirms the quote before the car goes on the rig.
