Camping fridges, air compressors and light bars are common on a Tank 300. Run with the engine off, they discharge a starter battery deeply, and deep discharge in heat shortens its life considerably.
Plug-in Hi4-T versions differ
Tank Hi4-T plug-in hybrids carry a high-voltage pack alongside the 12V battery. The 12V unit on those versions may not match the petrol model, so we confirm the exact variant before sending a technician.

Which battery does a Tank 400 take?
A Tank 400 typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range DIN 70 – DIN 100 (L3–L5). Most 400 cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a 400 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the 400 need battery registration?
No. The 400 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a 400 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Should I fit a bigger battery for my camping fridge?
A higher-capacity or AGM battery helps if the tray allows it, since AGM tolerates deeper discharge. For regular overnight use a separate auxiliary battery is the better answer. We can advise after testing how your current battery has held up.
