The #1, #3 and #5 are battery-electric cars from the Mercedes-Benz and Geely joint venture. Their 12 V auxiliary battery is model-specific, so we confirm type and access before sending a technician.
Fortwo: battery in the footwell
On earlier Fortwo generations you lift the passenger carpet and a foam panel to reach the battery. Later cars moved it to the front. Either way it is a compact unit with modest capacity.

Which battery does a Smart Roadster take?
A Smart Roadster typically takes a maintenance-free flooded battery, in the range DIN 70 – DIN 95 (L3–L5). The Roadster takes a sealed maintenance-free battery. In Gulf heat the things that matter are the correct case size, enough capacity for the AC and accessories, and a recent manufacture date.
Can you replace a Roadster battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the Roadster need battery registration?
No. The Roadster does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a Roadster battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Why does my Fortwo battery keep going flat?
Short city trips are the usual reason. The starter takes a lot from a small battery and a five-minute drive does not put it back. A longer run each week helps. If it still goes flat, we test for a failing battery.
