Which battery does a Nio ES6 take?
A Nio ES6 typically takes a 12V lithium or auxiliary or AGM battery. The ES6 runs its locks, screens and computers from a small low-voltage battery that is separate from the drive battery. Its type depends on the build year, so we confirm it from your VIN or a photo before sending a technician.
Can you replace a ES6 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the ES6 need battery registration?
No. The ES6 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a ES6 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
How do you boost a Nio that is completely dead?
We connect a regulated booster to the 12V jump points described in the owner manual. That gives the car enough power to unlock and wake. Once it is on, the car charges its own 12V battery and we test its condition.
