What to know about VinFast batteries
We confirm before dispatch
Battery type and position differ across the VF range and we will not guess. Send the model and year, and a photo of the 12 V battery label if you can reach it.
12 V battery still matters
A VinFast SUV needs its 12 V battery to unlock, boot its screens and connect the drive battery. If the car is dark and unresponsive after standing, the small battery is the first suspect.
Does the President need battery registration?
These cars are under manufacturer warranty and monitor the 12 V system through software. We advise checking warranty terms first, and we confirm whether a reset is needed for your model.

We confirm before dispatch

Tested at the car
The technician checks the battery and the charging system and tells you what the readings mean.

VinFast President battery questions
Which battery does a VinFast President take?
A VinFast President typically takes a 12V lithium or auxiliary or AGM battery. The President runs its locks, screens and computers from a small low-voltage battery that is separate from the drive battery. Its type depends on the build year, so we confirm it from your VIN or a photo before sending a technician.
Can you replace a President battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the President need battery registration?
It depends on the year and specification. Versions with a battery sensor or start-stop need the new battery registered or the monitoring reset. Tell us the model year and we confirm before dispatch whether it applies and whether it is included.
How long does a President battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Does heat affect the small battery in an electric VinFast?
Yes. Heat ages a 12 V battery in an EV the same way it does in a petrol car. Parking in shade or a basement helps. A yearly test before summer is a sensible habit for any car here.
