Desert-prepared Land Cruisers and Prados often carry a fridge, an air compressor, extra lights or a second audio system. These loads empty a standard battery quickly when the engine is off. Tell us what is fitted and we will suggest a higher-capacity battery in the same case.
JIS sizes, with newer exceptions
Gulf-spec Toyotas mostly use JIS cases such as NS40, 55D23L and 80D26L. Several models on newer platforms have moved to DIN-style LN cases with recessed terminals. The two types do not interchange, so we check the model year and the battery tray before sending a battery.

Which battery does a Toyota RAV4 take?
The Toyota RAV4 usually takes a maintenance-free flooded battery, most often 55D23L (60 Ah). This is the fitment most RAV4 cars in the Gulf leave the factory with. Engine and model year can change it, so we match it to the label on your current battery before dispatch.
Can you replace a RAV4 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the RAV4 need battery registration?
No. The RAV4 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a RAV4 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Can you replace a Toyota battery in a basement car park?
Yes. The technician carries the battery and tools to the car, so basement and mall parking is fine. Tell us the level and bay number when you send your location. For a Land Cruiser or Hilux we bring the larger case, and the old battery is taken away for recycling.
