Idle-stop on Smart Hybrid models
Newer Smart Hybrid Suzukis stop the engine at traffic lights and restart it with an integrated starter generator. Their 12V battery has to tolerate that cycling, so an ordinary flooded battery is the wrong replacement. We check for the hybrid badge and idle-stop switch first.

Can you replace a Splash battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the Splash need battery registration?
No. The Splash does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a Splash battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Do Suzuki Smart Hybrid cars need a special battery?
Yes. The engine stops and restarts in traffic, so the 12V battery under the bonnet must be a stop-start grade type, not a basic flooded one. The lithium-ion pack under the seat is a separate part and is not replaced during a normal battery call.
