Twin screens and connected features
The C5 cabin runs two wide displays, a 360 camera and, on some trims, remote app functions. These keep modules active for a while after locking. On a car that covers only a few kilometres a day, that standby use adds up.

Which battery does a Omoda 9 take?
A Omoda 9 typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range DIN 70 – DIN 100 (L3–L5). Most 9 cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a 9 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the 9 need battery registration?
No. The 9 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a 9 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
My Omoda is under warranty. Should the dealer replace the battery?
If the battery has failed early, ask the dealer first, since it may be covered. Check your warranty booklet for the battery terms. If it is not covered, or you are stuck at night, we test it and fit a battery of the same technology and size, with its own warranty of up to 24 months.
