LX and GX share Toyota sizes
The LX is built on the Land Cruiser and the GX on the Prado, and both use the same JIS battery cases as those models. Capacity matters because of the climate zones, suspension pumps and entertainment systems these cars run.
Boot-mounted 12V on hybrids
Hybrid models such as the ES 300h and the RX hybrids generally carry the 12V battery in the boot area. It is a vented AGM unit. A jump terminal under the bonnet lets us power the car up even when the battery is completely flat.

Which battery does a Lexus LBX take?
A Lexus LBX typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range 80D26 – 105D31 (70–90 Ah). Most LBX cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a LBX battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the LBX need battery registration?
No. The LBX does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a LBX battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Do you fit AGM batteries to Lexus models?
Yes, where the car calls for one. Hybrid auxiliary batteries mounted in the boot must be AGM, and newer turbo models with stop-start need AGM or EFB. A Lexus that left the factory with AGM gets AGM again. Non-hybrid V6 models such as the ES 350 normally use a conventional battery.
