What to know about Jetour batteries
Start-stop varies by trim
Some Jetour turbo models have start-stop and some do not, depending on engine, year and trim. Cars with it need EFB or AGM. Tell us if the engine cuts out at traffic lights, or send the battery label, and we bring the right technology.
DIN case, height matters
Jetour models use DIN-style cases with recessed terminals, in line with other Chery group cars. Capacity is not published model by model for the UAE, so we read it off the existing battery. Height matters too, because a taller case may not sit under the hold-down.

Which battery does a Jetour L6 take?
A Jetour L6 typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range DIN 70 – DIN 100 (L3–L5). Most L6 cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a L6 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the L6 need battery registration?
No. The L6 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a L6 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
My Jetour was fine yesterday and is dead after a night of camping. Do I need a new battery?
Probably not. A fridge, lights or a phone charger left running can drain a sound battery overnight. We jump-start the car and test the battery once it has taken some charge. If it recovers and holds voltage under load, you keep it. If it fails the test, we replace it there.
