What to know about Exeed batteries
Awake after locking
An Exeed stays partly awake after locking for keyless entry and welcome lighting. That is normal, but it shortens the time a weak battery survives when the car is left at the airport.
Turbo engines and stop-start
Exeed turbo petrol engines are paired with stop-start on some trims. Those cars need an EFB or AGM battery, and a standard flooded unit will fade quickly under repeated restarts in city traffic.

Which battery does a Exeed LX take?
A Exeed LX typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range DIN 70 – DIN 100 (L3–L5). Most LX cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a LX battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the LX need battery registration?
No. The LX does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a LX battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
My Exeed VX will not unlock with the key. Is that the car battery?
It can be either battery. If the dash stays dark after you open the door with the mechanical key blade, the car battery is flat and we can jump-start or replace it. If the car wakes normally, the coin cell in the key is the likely cause.
