Denza launched in the UAE in late 2025 with the B5 and B8 plug-in hybrid off-roaders, and D9 people carriers are also on the road as imports. All are new, complex cars with heavy standby electronics.
Denza models are plug-in hybrids or electric. The B5 and B8 combine a turbo petrol engine with electric motors, and the 12V battery does not crank the engine. A flat 12V unit still leaves the car unable to power on.

Standby systems kept drawing from the 12V battery until it dropped too low for the car to wake and recharge it. A boost usually restores it. Before long trips, leave the car with a healthy state of charge and switch off remote features.
A 12V boost at the designated points is safe when done with a regulated booster and correct polarity. We do not use another car as a donor on these vehicles, and we never touch the orange high-voltage cabling.
