BJ40 and added equipment
BJ40 owners often fit winches, extra lights and audio. Wired directly to the battery, these can leave a standby drain. We measure it during the visit so a new battery does not go flat for the same reason.

Which battery does a BAIC E Series take?
A BAIC E Series typically takes a maintenance-free flooded battery, in the range DIN 45 – DIN 60 / NS40 – NS60. The E Series takes a sealed maintenance-free battery. In Gulf heat the things that matter are the correct case size, enough capacity for the AC and accessories, and a recent manufacture date.
Can you replace a E Series battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the E Series need battery registration?
No. The E Series does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a E Series battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
The door handles on my X55 will not pop out. Is the battery dead?
Possibly. Use the mechanical key to open the driver door. If the dash is dark, the battery is flat and we can jump-start or replace it. If everything else works, the fault is in the handle and not the battery.
